Summary

This simulation features a 2-story, multi-family apartment building with four units. With fires downstairs and upstairs capable of extending to the attic, this simulation begins to introduce operations in more complex buildings. This simulation provides the opportunity to train on multi-unit search, building and exposure NIMS nomenclature, unexpected spread of fire, pulling ceiling to stop fire spread, etc. By varying the starting point of the fire, speed of progression, the number and location of victims, firefighters each time encounter something a little different requiring an adjustment in the tactical plan and assignment of resources.
