Summary

This simulation features a single-story commercial strip shopping center with six (6) units. Fire conditions range from light to heavy with extension to side B and D exposures. This simulation provides the opportunity to train on strip center fire control tactics, unexpected spread of fire rapidly through the ceilings of adjoining occupancies, the importance of containing the fire, proper hose line selection (big water), etc. By varying the starting positions of the fire as well as the number and location of any victims, firefighters each time encounter something a little different requiring an adjustment in the tactical plan and assignment of resources.
